6 Amazing Elements of Saturday’s Fundraising Dinner

Categories: Uncategorized

The theme: A lot of care goes into choosing the main focus for Columbia’s Annual Fundraising Dinner.  This year, Columbia’s new vision statement was highlighted.  Three bold colours to capture the three things we most want to be: “Christ-Centred, Kingdom-Focused, World-Impacting.”

Bonus: See that orange book?  Guests received a copy of Suffering with God, a Christ-centred, Kingdom-focused book authored by keynote speaker, pastor, and Columbia alum, Chris Price.

Pulled Pork Slider Appetizers.  There is no need to say more.

The guests.  There was a wonderful buzz in Columbia Place as over three hundred people arrived for a fun, meaningful evening together.  Thank you for coming!

Chef Jordan’s Banquet.  This was the first Fundraising Dinner catered by our new Executive Chef Jordan Rempel.  It was spectacular and mouth-watering!

Kate Reid on “Myths about Bible College.”  With humour, candour, and conviction, Kate shared how her time at Columbia landed her a “real job”: one that is Christ-centred, Kingdom-focused, world-impacting, AND comes with a paycheque!  (She is the Camp Director of Camp Likely on Quesnel Lake.)

Alumnus Chris Price, lead pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Coquitlam,  inspired us with his keynote address on how faith the size of a mustard seed can grow into a kingdom-focused, world-impacting eternal legacy.

The most amazing element of this year’s dinner?  Imagining the eternal legacy that will result from the generosity of those who invested in the future of Columbia Bible College.  Your gifts will grow into Kingdom-sized fruit, as we equip young adults for discipleship, ministry, and leadership in service to the church and community.  Thank you!
