Bearcats Weekend Update

All four Bearcats teams were in action this past weekend that featured a weekend sweep and a few close battles.  Women’s basketball swept the weekend against the Quest Kermodes and now sit fifth in the PacWest standings.  This was our women’s basketball team’s first ever win against Quest and the first time they have ever swept a weekend.  They seem to be hitting their stride at the right time and have now put themselves in a strong position to make the playoffs.  Men’s basketball dropped both games against Quest and are still looking for their first win of the season.  They have two important games on the road coming up next weekend against Douglas College.

The women’s and men’s volleyball teams lost their games to Douglas College over the weekend, but both teams are inching closer to making the playoffs.  The women’s team still sits in fifth in the PacWest standings and their magic number to clinch a playoff berth is one.  The men’s team sits in a tie for sixth alongside the COTR Avalanche with only four games left in the season.

The Bearcats are back at Columbia Place next weekend for some more volleyball.  Be sure to come out and support our athletes!  There is less than a month left of regular season play so every game from here on out is crucial.
